What items do you accept?

Brand name clothing for women, men, children and teens, shoes, accessories and  decorative household items (think boutique, not yard sale). Take a harsh look at your items.  Would you buy it as a gift? Would you be excited to find it? Would we call a regular customer and tell them we just got in a beautiful order, after looking at your things? Remember, brand names sell the best and have the greatest secondary market value.

Why don't you take all my stuff?

The main reason we don't take something is very simple: we don't think it will sell in OUR STORE!  This, of course, will vary from season to season and year to year. But, in general, there are certain things that we know will sell and others that we know will not.

Why should I bring you my stuff?

At Bargain Betty's we consign our merchandise from customers who bring it in.
The consignor will receive 40% of the selling price.  We select our inventory from the best fashions, brands, styles, sizes, fabrics condition and function.  We consign a wide range of styles which keeps our inventory ever-changing, our prices low, and our customers coming back.

Our store attracts a loyal following of fashion hounds, and bargain hunters because shopping at Bargain Betty's is not like going into a thrift store and buying somebody's used clothing.  Our selection changes hourly and is aimed at fashion-conscious people who appreciate good quality, style and economy. Our commitment to keeping our store stocked full, visually attractive, and neatly organized helps your items sell more quickly and for a better price.

Do I need an appointment to consign?

No appointment is necessary.  You may bring your items anytime during our open hours.  However, first time consignors should visit our store first to get a feel for the type of items we consign.  We accept only brand name, current style items in the current season.  We also require that your items be clean and ready to sell.  Our customers are picky, so we have to be, too!

Can I purchase items from you on-line?

Not yet, but look for this feature to be added to our site soon!

We take clothing seasonally:
Spring starting in mid-January, Summer starting in mid-March, Fall starting in mid-July, Winter starting in mid-September.
Non-seasonal items are accepted at any time.
If in doubt, just ask us!

What is drop and run?

Established consignors may choose to use our Drop & Run system. We encourage this system only for those who know our system well and have consigned with us enough to trust us completely. Here is how it works:

1. You drop off your stuff.
2. We go through and determine what we can sell.
3. You have 3 days to pick up what we can't use.
4. If unsellable items are not claimed, we will donate them for you for a $5 per bag fee.

What are your consignment terms?

Bargain Betty's Consignment Agreement

1. Your items will be displayed for 60 days
2. Pricing and markdowns are at the discretion of the store
3. The consignor receives 40% of the selling price
4. After 60 days we encourage you to allow us to donate your unsold items for you.  You do have the option to reclaim your items if you prefer, for a 25c per item restocking fee.
